Fur Babies

In 2014, I lost my beloved Galadriel. She was my very first ferret, and will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart. She was a feisty chocolate sable, who wasn't afraid to share her opinion about anything and everything! When we first got her, the first thing she did was stare at a Slipknot poster...and leap at it like a rabid fan girl!! xD My hotheaded little girl had an enlarged heart, however. She only lived to the tender age of four years before she passed away in her sleep. A heart attack. It was hard to take...I'll always miss my baby girl. :(
Galadriel February 21, 2010 - October 13, 2014 (my beloved fur daughter since May 13, 2010)

Almost a year later, I lost her baby brother, Artemis. He was a sweet, if derpy, dark-eyed-white. The first thing HE did when we brought him home was walk right off a table, scratching his precious little nose! Poor baby. His death was my fault...he also died at the age of four, to adrenal disease. When his tail started to bald, we took him to the vet straight away. The doctor told us that they could not determine the cause without performing expensive tests, and it might have turned out to be benign. Afraid of debt, I took the coward's way out. I watched my poor boy deteriorate over the months to come, until he was bald everywhere except his head. I will never forgive myself for letting that happen to my sweet baby boy. I found him dead in his cage in mid summer. I'll look at my journal entry when I get home for the exact date.
Artemis December 4, 2010 - July 16, 2015 (my sweet boy since February 14, 2011)

I had been staring down this cute little marked white ferret for months.  I watched her grow from an itty bitty baby, to a young adult, and finally said "SCREW IT, I'M TAKING HER HOME!!!!!"  I wish I had, sooner.  She's always been soooo smart; before Galadriel and Artemis passed away, my father would babysit the three of them at his place.  He told me that he would have to tear himself from the computer many a time because she somehow would find her way onto the counter tops! xD  Now that I have two more ferrets, she often finds herself babysitting.
Khaleesi December, 2011 - Still with us!

Perci is calm, sweet, and the only ferret I've ever seen get scared.  He panics every time it's time to clip his nails.
Perseus 2015 - Still with us!

Odi is practically Artemis 2.0 in that he's derpy.  Other than that, he's extremely noisy when he wants attention, and when he's out and about, he's a total momma's boy!!!  He's always begging me to pick him up, it's so cute! x3
